"BUILD A BACKPACK" Townwide Scavenger Hunt!

GATHER YOUR TEAM!!  NAME YOUR TEAM!! DECORATE YOUR CAR!!  

Great team/family building event and a great way to end the summer!

Please join us for our 1st annual "BUILD A BACKPACK" Townwide Scavenger Hunt!!!  

The list consists of obtainable items, photo/video items, trivia and riddles!  (Some list items will require traveling in a vehicle and lists will not be given out until 4 pm check in).  RIDDLE LOCATIONS - IF SOLVED, WILL BE HANDING OUT SCHOOL SUPPLIES TO HELP "BUILD YOUR BACKPACK".  Each registered child participant in the scavenger hunt will receive a cinch sack to collect their riddle location school supply items.  We will NOT be supplying actual backpacks, only school supply items to put in their back to school backpacks.  We will also be offering chances to dunk our First Selectwoman Annmarie Drugonis!!

• This event will begin at 4:00 pm at which point your "team" will receive the scavenger hunt list.  
• You will begin the scavenger hunt at 5:00 pm and will have 2 hours to get as many items checked off as you can.
• We will meet back at Ronald Randall Park at 7:00 pm and the judges will review the lists and award the winners.
• The Town of Seymour will then host a Outdoor Movie night beginning at Dusk! (Movie TBD)

We do not expect everyone to complete everything on the list.  Each item will have a point value and the teams who have the most points will be awarded 1st, 2nd & 3rd prize!  We will also have prizes for best team name, best decorated car, best dressed team!

We will also have informational tables and tents throughout the park for you to visit, representing any local businesses, local nonprofits and afterschool programs, sports etc., who will be sponsoring this event!!  Please come and visit our sponsors to see what Seymour has to offer!!

This scavenger hunt is free for all Seymour Residents.  REGISTRATION FOR THE SCAVENGER HUNT IS REQUIRED.  You do NOT need to register if you are not participating in the scavenger hunt and are welcome to visit the informational booths and/or enjoy the movie.

You can have up to 10 people on a team with multiple cars but you MUST STAY TOGETHER. There will be “checkpoints”.
